Careful selection of speakers and topics really bridges video game and animation industries and builds the foundation for meaningful networking. Event visitors will be treated with inspiring and insightful talks as well as an opportunity to try out beautiful emotionally charged games. (2017)

Exordium Games is an indie studio founded in 2014 in Zagreb, Croatia. are doing our best to deliver great experiences to players no matter how and when they play.

Bear With Me is a 2D black and white, point and click “horror” noire adventure. Bear With Me (pun intended!) is inspired by the great point and click classics like Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, that we we still remember dearly. These games were played among generations, and although it´s hard to plan such greatness for a game, Bear With Me seeks to bring you the same quirky humor, strange adventures and noir fun of familiar titles, set in a black and white “horror” atmosphere.

Sand Sailor Studio Sand Sailor Studio is an independent game development studio, founded in 2014 by Cristian Diaconescu, Nicoleta Iordanescu and Emil Nestor, in Bucharest, Romania. The team is currently working on Black The Fall: http://blackthefall.com/, an atmospheric puzzle game set-up in a dystopian era, inspired by Romania’s communist past.

The story started by participating in Square Enix Collective’s competition with the first prototype for Black the Fall. The positive feedback empowered them to build a successful campaign on Kickstarter, which was followed by the participation at Execution Labs’​ accelerator program, when they’ve decided to reshape the game. Since then they grew into team of 9 developers, focused on Black The Fall, planned to be launched in the first half of 2017. Sand Sailor Studio anchors their games in culture, making it all about the mind-puzzling, rather than the mind-numbing.

BLACK THE FALL is an atmospheric puzzle game set-up in a communist dystopian era. Playing as Black, an obedient factory worker, you get one chance to outsmart the oppressive system, but the road to freedom is paved with puzzles, pitfalls and manipulation. A door malfunctions, an opportunity arises. Once out, what will you do to survive?

Black Pants Studio is an independent game studio rooted in Kassel and Berlin. It is team of three programmers, one animator and one comic artist, as well as one marketing /PR/social media ninja. Black Pants team are passionate about games with new and innovative mechanics, a handcrafted feeling, and a one-of-a-kind look.

Their own Scape Engine is used to develop desktop and console games such as Tiny & Big and On Rusty Trails. Built from scratch, it has been constantly improved since 2002.

Black Pants is an officially licensed developer for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PlayStation Vita.

On Rusty Trails is a modern, illustrative platformer, set in a world constantly reacting to your change in identity. You are Elvis. Home owner, triangular metal person and lover of dryness. A sudden thunderstorm leaves your house dissolved into a pile of rubble. Only lightning-fast reactions will keep you from a looming rusty funeral. Don your Shifty Suit to incognito yourself and and walk among suspicious hairy folk. Perilous puzzles and prejudiced platforms will bar your way in this deceptively complex gaming experience.

PEPI PLAY STUDIO PEPI PLAY is a small, independent game studio focused on high quality applications for kids. Based in Vilnius, Pepi Play has been cheering kids all around the world with various games and digital toys — all of them sharing high quality and attention to detail. Games produced by Pepi Play received universal praise from international media and numerous awards for excellence. Games made in Pepi Studio are perceived as little helpers, or entertaining applications with some educational values. Pepi games are really popular in United States, Great Britain, Germany, Middle East and Scandinavia. Studio also received praise from teachers and communities with special needs.

During BLON festival PEPI PLAY will showcase their latest app — an interactive toy „Pepi House“. However, visitors will be able to try other apps as well, including but not limited to Pepi Bath 2 (good for learning daily chores). Studio head Adas and artist Indre will be attending the show so be sure to come and say hello. With some luck you may also expect to be among the first to try brand new game that is yet to be released!

Sneaky Box Legendary Lithuanian indie powerhouse, best known for exploring, explaining and evangelizing craft in the region. Come and meet SneakyBox’s team behind Robo Settlers — Deividas, Rytis, Laura, Liutauras and Justas.

Robo Settlers is an adventure to explore bold new worlds. While the team behind it makes bold steps in a brand-new universe of Defold engine, players are invited to manage cheerful band of robots. You, the boss man, will guide robotic buddies to success! Build different types of floors, hire robots and level them up all while various problems come up in your tower. Solve puzzles to fix them, upgrade your rocket that sits on top of your tower, collect favourite robots and go explore other planets where different challenges await!

VOKABULANTIS

Vokabulantis is an episodic game where puppet film and computer game merge, so you experience and discover the poetic reality of language.

The game makes language tangible. The tactility of puppet films in an interactive universe is for us the complete realization of the idea of making language something, you can physically interact with and not just letters on papers or screens.

In Vokabulantis you play the two friends Kurt and Karla. They can’t tell each other, that they like … or love … or … you know, the words will not come out. That’s because The World of the Language is out of balance and has stopped working, since they’ve fallen in love.

Both Kurt and Karla is catapulted down into The World of the Language where the game takes place. Here you shall try to balance things again puzzle by puzzle.

The game is a one player game, in which you control Kurt and Karla. Each of them have their special forces. You can switch between Kurt and Karla, whenever you like, but you need both of them to solve the puzzles of the game. As a genre, the game is a mix between a poin’t’click adventure (eg Machinarium) and a puzzle platformer (eg Little Big Planet) and a game like The Cave, that also focuses on cooperation between the game characters to solve puzzles.

We make the game primarily for PC, but also take into account that it can be published for consoles and handheld down the line.

The game is inspired by the author Morten Søndergaard’s fantastic and really physical Word Pharmacy, and he is also one of the core developers behind the game along with Johan Oettinger and his puppet animation studio Wired Fly. Kong Orange is the production company behind the whole thing.
