Persepolis

Based on Marjane Satrapi’s autobiographical graphic novel, Persepolis chronicles the life of a young girl growing up during the Iranian Revolution. Through stark black-and-white animation, the film explores themes of identity, freedom, and resilience as Marjane navigates political upheaval, exile, and the search for her place in the world.
