Over the weekend in Klaipėda, awards were presented for the international animation and video game festival. This year's competitive programs featured more than 70 works from around the world, and 15 awards were presented across 7 competitive programs.
This year's BLON animation and game festival, taking place September 11–14 in Klaipėda, will present the prestigious WINGS award for the first time in Lithuania. This is an international award given to video games created by female developers, women-led studios, or teams.
The only animation, game and digital art festival in the Baltic States, BLON, is expanding its boundaries this year – September 11–14, it will take place in Palanga for the first time. The eleventh edition of the festival will present a specially curated program of animated films and virtual reality works for the city.

During the 10th BLON Animation and Games Festival, which was held in Klaipėda over the weekend, awards were presented to animators from Lithuanian, Ukrainian, and international competition programs, as well as to game developers in the Aware Game Awards.

His film 'Missing' is the first animated LGBTQ+ themed work submitted by the Philippines for the Oscar in the Best International Film category.
